Diploma in Counselling Skills – Distance Learning – Level 3

The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:

• develop counselling skills
• understand the different approaches involved in the use of counselling skills
• appreciate the importance of self-development.

This is a flexible course, studied online and will be undertaken at home.

The course is delivered and assessed online; those that apply will need a computer/laptop with internet access. An initial assessment will also need to be completed and prior qualifications will be considered.

Applicants will be required to be ages 19+ and acheived a Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy.

Learners will be assessed through an online assessment.

Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health.

Most Level 3 Distance Learning Courses can now be studied for free if;

• You are aged 19+ without a full Level 3 qualification (equivalent to two A-Levels)
• You earn below the National Living Wage annually (£18,525) or are unemployed
• You are a Tees Valley resident seeking a career change and you earn below £33,210

If you withdraw from this course or do not complete it within the required time, you could become liable for a £50 enrolment fee.
