Childcare and Early Years Skills Bootcamp – Level 3

Units will include:

• Introduction to the role of the EYE
• Holistic Child Development
• Children with SEND
• Effective communication in the Early Years setting
• Safeguarding and Welfare requirements
• Health, Wellbeing and Safety
• Promoting effective Early Years curriculum
• Assessment of learning and development
• Understanding play and holistic development
• Partnership working

Learners will study 1 afternoon, face-to-face teaching in college, 1-4pm

3 hours of online self-directed learning

300 hours within an EYE setting

Learners must hold English language and maths at grade 4 or above or equivalent, and Level 2 sector qualification.

Learners will complete a portfolio of evidence including assignments, group work, presentations and work-based assessment which will be assessed in the real world environment.

Learners can progress onto Level 4 Advanced Practitioner for the Early Years, or into employment within the EYE sector.

Learners are advised they will require a laptop to enable them to access the teams site and complete research skills.

Full funding available for unemployed candidates.

70% – 90% of funding available for candidates currently employed (dependent on company size, and must be earning less than £33,210).
