September – June

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and/or four GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above, including English language and maths.

Internal assessments will be carried out in a variety of ways including assignments, role plays and presentations.

University Opportunities

Past students have progressed to study degrees airport and airline management, tourism management, leisure and tourism, and business.

Career opportunities

Career opportunities include RAF, Air Crew i.e. pilot training, Cabin Crew, Ground Staff, Flight Operations, Passenger service agents, Air Traffic Control, Airline marketing and customer service roles within the airline and airport industry.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

All full-time students will be offered a number of options to secure at least 10 days of meaningful work experience during the year. This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job, progress to a higher-level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at University.
