Samuel Rigg

Its was a double celebration for 17-year-old Samuel Rigg as he picked up a Distinction Star in Media and Film Production, just weeks after scooping the College’s prestigious ‘Media Student of the Year’ award.

Keen filmmaker Samuel, from Eaglescliffe in Stockton, said: “I’m really happy with my results but didn’t expect them.

“I like to make YouTube videos in my spare time and have produced short films and promotional videos alongside my studies – but it’s great to be recognised for my work at the College.

“During my time here, I’ve had the chance to work on live client briefs, for the likes of Quorn, which has been great to build my portfolio of work. I’m staying at the College for another year and can’t wait to see where it takes me.”
