Meet Josephine O Schaapkens, Hair & Media Make Up Lecturer!
Educated to Degree Level in Theatrical Media Makeup and Costume, Josephine has an impressive portfolio working with big brands such as Wella, The BBC and English National Ballet just to name a few!
“I have worked as a Makeup Artist for 12 years specialising in editorial makeup and often working on shoots for exciting campaigns. I really thrive being in part of a creative team and I love seeing a vision come to life! As well as working on big campaigns I work within the bridal industry getting brides and their bridesmaids ready for the big day.
“I have only recently started my journey at Middlesbrough College and I’m loving it so far. I wanted to join the College as I felt that teaching was a natural progression route for me and I want to pass on my skills and experience to the students.
It’s great to be able to help them develop their skills and see them grow in confidence with every lesson, they’re such a creative group and I love to encourage that.
