Fiona Kempton
Fiona, Head of Curriculum and Quality for Adult and Community Learning, is helping those in the community who need it most.
Having worked at Middlesbrough College for 19 years, Fiona has seen the college campus expand and their adult learning provision transform.
“I started working at Middlesbrough College in 2003. I began as a Receptionist at Acklam 6th form. During my time here I have had various roles including Data Clerk, Schools Liaison Assistant, Partnership Liaison Officer and have eventually progressed to my current role of Head of Curriculum and Quality within Adult and Community Learning. “
The Adult and Community learning team deliver a range of bespoke training programmes and short courses for the local community.
Fiona loves her job and has always had a passion for helping people achieve their dreams.
“I have always felt valued by my managers and other managers within the college. I have always been lucky to have great working relationships with my team. It’s a friendly place to work, with additional rewards such as staff development days along with Christmas and Summer celebrations.”
In her current role Fiona works with those hardest to reach in the community, helping people get back into education or employment and make a real change to their lives.
