18-year-old Eleanor Clapton from Ingleby Barwick received two incredible offers to study at Teesside University having achieved an A and two Bs in art, maths and physics.
However, the ambitious student has decided to defer her place for a year, until she can decide between studying Civil Engineering and Architecture. Eleanor plans to save up and hopes to secure some industry internships alongside her part time job.
“I’ve loved studying at the College and its really opened up the doors to a number of options for further study. I love the idea of both careers but it’s such an important decision and I don’t want to rush it. I’m really going to take the next year to explore my options.”
