Cristian tells us about studying his Maths GCSE course at Middlesbrough College!
“Studying GCSE maths at Middlesbrough College has been a great opportunity for me! I’m an asylum seeker and I have found the course really helpful. It has not only helped me to learn new skills, but to also feel actively part of British society.
“I would recommend this course to others. Universities and employers usually ask for GCSE maths qualification so I’m delighted to have achieved a Grade 7 in my results!
“The teaching and support I have received has been incredible and the College has also helped me with a free bus travel pass which has been really useful!
“It has been challenging studying as my mother tongue is Spanish, however the support from my tutor Anela has been amazing and I’ve been able to overcome the language barriers.
“I’m now going to study for my GCSE English with the College – I’m excited to get started!”
