VRQ Certificate in Beauty Services – Level 2

Units will include:

• Health, safety, and hygiene
• Client care and communication
• Working in the beauty related industry
• Provide facial treatments
• Provide manicure treatments
• Provide pedicure treatments

September – June

You must have achieved an appropriate Entry level vocational qualification and/or three GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above, including maths and English.

There are three 5 module written exams during the year where 60% much be achieved to pass the final grade. All papers are assessed with multiple choice, short answers.

Practically learners will develop skills on each other, followed by client sessions that will be provided for competency and assessment. Learners must carry out all services a minimum of 4 times each. The final assessment it awarded pass, merit or distinction.

Past students have progressed to study our Level 3 in Body and Spa.

Career Opportunities: Self-employed, Mobile, Salon Therapist, Product Rep or Educator.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

Students should complete meaningful work experience during the course. This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job, progress to a higher level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at university.
