Overview

The qualifications will provide learners with an understanding of the principles of working within the aviation sector. On completion learners could progress into the industry or onto further study within the subject area. Learners will explore different aspects of the industry such as handling airport passengers, loading and unloading aircraft. Students will also develop key skills in customer service, communication and problem solving.

September - June

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 1 vocational qualification and /or GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above in English and maths

You will be assessed through internal assignments allowing you to produce evidence in a variety of ways including posters, presentations, role plays and projects and external assessments. Four Mandatory units will be assessed against a pass, merit or distinction criteria.

You can progress onto the Level 3 Aviation Operations or Level 3 Travel and Tourism. You could also progress into employment subject to age of 18.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
