This course has been designed for students who have an interest in the art and design industry but are not confident enough to access a level 1 course from the beginning.

This programme is designed to support you to develop confidence, practical skills and an understanding of the art and design industry.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required.

You will be continuously assessed using a variety of different methods.

You can progress to other programmes within visual arts.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Creative Arts

Explore Creative Arts

As a creative arts student, you'll benefit from Middlesbrough College's great facilities and high quality equipment and materials. This includes a photography studio and darkroom, large Apple iMac suite, spacious workshops and print and textiles studio. Students get involved in a range of projects to develop their creative skills including fashion shows, designing posters for theatre performances and the end of year art show.
