Overview

This course covers many areas within electro technical technology, both in the workshop and classroom. Some of the units you will cover include: principles of electrical science, electrical installations technology and health and safety within building services engineering.

September - June

Entry requirements

GCSEs maths grade 4 with English/sciences at grade 3 or above.

You will be assessed by theoretical examinations and a summative practical assessment.

You can progress onto the Level 3 Electrical installation course.

The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into further education.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Construction

Explore Construction

Construction students will have the opportunity to work in state of the art workshops, and have access to a real life outdoor construction site. This realistic work environment allows students to gain practical experience in constructing a single story dwelling which is built from foundations up to the roof.
