Overview

These is a practical and work related course providing a variety of theoretical and practical based modules related to the production arts. You will look at theatre production skills trying them out in a workshop setting which reflects some of the conditions, demands and time constraints of a professional environment.

September - June

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and /or five GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above.

You will be continuously assessed through succesfully completing a series of assignments and projects.

University opportunities
 Past students have progressed to study degrees and professional diplomas in stage management, production arts, lighting design, sound design, technical production, event management, entertainment management and theatre studies.


Stage school opportunities
Past students have progressed to a number of stage schools such as LAMDA, Mountview, LIPA, and Backstage Academy.


Career opportunities
Career opportunities include stage management, lighting, sound, technical management, theatre management and events management.

 

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Performance and Production Arts students will have access to an on-site 156 seat commercial theatre with full sound and lighting capabilities plus many modern rehearsal rooms. Here, students will get the chance to develop their confidence and professionalism in one of our many productions across the year, either performing on stage or supporting with the staging, sound and music.
