Overview

If you are thinking about a career in the plumbing industry, then why not try your hand at a variety of different construction and building tasks with this basic construction skills qualification.

These include plumbing and electrical tasks and get a feel for whether a career in construction is right for you.

Entry requirements

You must have a vocational interest in this construction trade and be able to demonstrate an ability to study at this level.

You will be assessed through a combination of written exams and observations of practical tasks in the workshop.

You can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Explore Construction

Construction students will have the opportunity to work in state of the art workshops, and have access to a real life outdoor construction site. This realistic work environment allows students to gain practical experience in constructing a single story dwelling which is built from foundations up to the roof.
