You will develop a broad understanding of business activity and focus on the influence of human resource management in contemporary organisations. You will also investigate and work with local employers to expand and apply your knowledge in a practical setting.
Your knowledge and understanding provides a platform for you to develop your future career and academic plans, and you gain the opportunity to showcase your skills to potential employers.

Successful students may choose to progress to the BA (Hons) Business Management a one year top-up programme also delivered at the college, to gain a full honours degree award.

Currently the course is also seeking dual accreditation through the Chartered Management Institute so that students will be able to gain an accredited management qualification alongside their Foundation degree.

Entry requirements

• You will need to have achieved 48 UCAS tariff points from an appropriate Level 3 qualification (NVQ 3, BTEC Award, A Level or relevant T Level qualification) as well as possessing GCSE or equivalent grade 9-4 (A-C) in English and in maths.
• Non-standard applicants for both full and part time modes of study will be considered based on individual merit and industrial experience relevant to the programme. This decision will be determined by interview.

Successful students may choose to progress to the BA (Hons) Business, a one year top-up programme also delivered at the College, to gain a full honours degree award.
