Overview

Skilled Mechanical Production Technicians are in high demand and can work in a variety of businesses.

This Level 3 BTEC course includes trade-related practical workshops activities alongside classroom delivery.

Entry requirements

Pre-qualification requirements: GCSE grade A-C in Science, Maths and English.

You will be assessed through observation (with appropriate witness testimony), short online testing and on-going assignments.

This qualification will provide you with a range of transferable skills so that you can progress onto an Apprenticeship, Further Education or Employment (semi-skilled).

The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into further education.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.
If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
