Every Friday from 10:00am - 3:00pm Due to the number of assessments you will be required to attend the course fully on a Friday 9.30 - 2.30pm It is not advised that complete this course if you cannot fully committ to full attendance. The course will commence September

Entry requirements

To gain access to this course you must have the level 2 fitness or gym instructing qualification.

The diploma in personal training has a range of assessments over the 6 units that include:

  • 2 multiple choice exams
  • Food diary
  • Assignments
  • Work book questions
  • A range of practical observations
  • Evaluations.

Once the level 2 certificate has been achieved you are able to progress onto the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 diploma in exercise referral
  • Level 3 diploma in sports massage
  • Certificate in circuits
  • Certificate in kettle bells
  • Certificate in studio cycling
  • Certificate in suspended movement

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Advanced Learner Loan: If you are aged 19-23 and this is not yourfirst full Level 3 qualification or you are aged 24 or over on the start date of the course, you will have to pay fees. However, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. You can apply for an Advanced Learning Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to fund all or part of the fee. For information on

Please note any fee shown excludes any additional costs to learners for any necessary equipment, materials, uniforms or any visit/residential that learners are required to participate in.

Sports students will learn theoretical based study in the classroom, whilst taking part in a range of sport and fitness activities.
