Course overview

By developing a broad knowledge of the sector and your practical skills, you will be a valuable addition to any tourism organisation. During your tourism management degree, you will learn about the role of the stakeholders in sustainable tourism management, operational strategy and how tourism policy-makers impact the industry.

The course is designed in partnership with employers and industry associations to give you a solid theoretical and practical understanding of tourism management enabling you to progress to higher level studies or directly into industry.

There are themes you will focus on throughout your course – management, destinations, tourists, and skills. With your research project you can choose any area related to tourism. Our students have explored areas as diverse as dark tourism, tourism and the media cultural tourism, climate change and tourism, and medical tourism. All your modules are designed and delivered by experienced tourism specialists which means everything you study will be relevant to your career goals. Field trips are an integral part of the course and both UK and international destinations will be available (additional cost).
