Overview

This course offers an entrance into the technical world of hardware engineering, whilst providing an insight into development strategies within software engineering. You will also gain an understanding into the online world and how technology systems are used. You will find out about website and software development and installing hardware and automated systems.

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 1 vocational qualification and/ or GCSEs grade 3 (D) or above.

The course is assessed through assessment work and two online exams.

You can progress to any Level 3 Digital Technologies course, or gain employment in the computing industry.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
