Overview

This course covers a wide range of technical practical skills and knowledge required to work as a hair stylist in a salon providing colouring and perming services. You will complete 30 hours industry salon experience, working with local employers to help you gain the skills and experience required. You will study a range of modules including the principles and practices of hairdressing services, colouring and lightening hair, perming and neutralising hair.

Entry requirements

You must have completed Technical Certificate in Cutting & Styling Services Level 2. School leavers are not able to apply for this course.

You will be assessed through a theory exam and practical asssesment.

You can progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Haidressing or a Level 3 Apprenticeship

You will not have to pay Tuition Fees if you are under 19 on 31 August in the year of your entry to the course. You must also satisfy UK / EEA residency rules. If you are over 19 or have any questions regarding residency rules, please contact (01642) 333587.
