Overview

This course is for learners wanting to progress to employment in engineering. Learners gain relevant skills and knowledge from studying a range of content focussed on electrical/ electronic and mechanical disciplines.

This includes electrical machines and maintenance of mechanical systems. You will be assessed internally through assignments and tasks and externally by examination. Modules include engineering, engineering product design and manufacture, quality in engineering, pneumatics and hydraulics and CAD.

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and/or four GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above that must include maths, English and science.

You will be assessed internally through assignments and tasks and externally by examination.
