This course is an excellent way to broaden your culinary skills, preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes which include stock, soups, meat and poultry, fish, pastry products, cold dessserts and cakes.

Entry requirements

GCSEs at grade 4 or above or an appropriate Level 1 vocational qualification.

You can progress onto the Level 3 Professional Cookery or alternatively seek intermediate level employment or an apprenticeship.

Catering and Hospitality students will have the opportunity to work in our award winning training restaurant, The Waterside Brasserie. The restaurant is open to the public across the week and all the food is prepared and served by our students in one of our five fully equipped industrial kitchens.
