This course is for practising Electrical and Instrument Engineers,
Supervisors and Technicians who need to renew their core competency in the
selection, installation, inspection and maintenance of electrical apparatus in
potentially explosive atmospheres to 60079-14/60079-17.
It is advisable to attend the Refresher course at least 3 months before the
certificate expiry date.
Candidates who possess a Non-Technical or Site Specific CompEx certificate
must enrol on the CompEx Ex01 to Ex04, 5 day course, to re-certify.
The programme requires that personnel registering for a refresher course are
recommended to have worked regularly in the industry during the previous 5
years, come prepared having done some self-study revision work and can gland,
terminate, inspect & test a variety of cables/equipment. They MUST
have a valid CompEx certificate for the corresponding units to be refreshed.
