Northern Skills Group is Middlesbrough College's commercial training arm
The course aims to develop your knowledge, skills and understanding about learning and teaching in a diverse range of educational contexts, including Primary, Secondary and Special Education provision. As a result, the focus is on your practice, with a work-based portfolio, Professional Practice in Education, where you are supported and encouraged to be critically reflective practitioners.
In addition, there are assignments and projects (such as those contained in the modules Additional Needs and Inclusion and the Behaviour Management, which aim to demonstrate and build on your knowledge and experience in this field. It is expected that as full-time students you will attend college for two days per week and that as part-time students you will attend college for one afternoon and evening per week.
