This course is for speakers of other languages, aged 16-18 who are working at Pre entry to Entry Level 3 and wish to progress to other mainstream courses or into employment. You will study speaking and listening, reading and writing, maths, ICT and employability skills. There will be individual tutorials, study skills and enrichment.

Entry requirements

There are no formal requirements to enrol, however if you are interested you will receive guidance from the progression studies team along with completion of an assessment to gain understanding of your suitability.

You will be assessed continuously throughout the time frame of the course and will track achievement using a variety of methods.

You can progress onto a wide range of programmes within the College or into employment dependent on the level achieved.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
