These courses are for speakers of other languages, both those who have basic English and those who wish to progress to other mainstream courses or into employment.

You will study listening and speaking, reading and writing. You will be taught using different teaching methods in a classroom situation. You may also have access to computers.

Entry requirements

You will need a certificate at a level below the course you are interested in, and you will do an initial assessment at Enrolment.

You will be assessed through written and oral exams.

You can progress to the next level or employment is dependent on level achieved.

£300 per term

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

You only need to apply once for A Level programmes. After receiving your application form you will be invited to attend an informal interview where you will have a chance to discuss which specific A Level subjects you would like to enrol on.
