Overview

This is a level 3 qualification aimed for employees in the Electrical and
the Electro-technical sector. This course is intended for candidates who wish to
verify new installations and is the first of three stages from initial
verification to periodic inspection and testing.

Modules offered may vary.

Modules include:

  • Understand the requirements for initial verification of electrical installations
  • Understand safety management procedures when undertaking initial verification of electrical installations
  • Understand the requirements for testing electrical installations at initial verification
  • Understand the requirements for the initial inspection of an electrical installation
  • Perform inspection and testing of electrical installations

Entry requirements

  • All candidates must be 18+
  • It is a mandatory requirement that candidates have previous electrical experience of electrical installation work and must have achieved their 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.

This qualification is assessed through

  • Initial Verification and Certification of the Complete Installation
  • Short Answer Questions
  • Online Multiple Choice Test
