*You must have an appropriate electrical qualifcation to enrol onto this course. We reserve the right to check qualifications for entry criteria to the course and cancel your enrolment with a full refund if there is no proof of  certification.

This course is designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and understanding of the application of the 18th Edition regulations for electricians who install or maintain electrical systems.
The aim of this unit is to enable the candidate to demonstrate that they are up-to-date with the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 2018.


There are eight outcomes to this unit, which are;
• Scope, object and fundamental principles
• Definitions
• Assessment of general characteristics
• Protection for safety
• Selection and erection of equipment
• Inspection and testing
• Special installations or locations
• Appendices

Option 1 -4 weeks.

3 weeks to include- directed self-study, and a 3 hour on line tutorial/lesson with the course tutor- per week.

4th and final week- Complete the 18th Edition online exam- this will take place at Middlesbrough College- More information will be available about the logistics of this when you enrol.

Option 2- 4 days.

Entry requirements

Qualified electricians or those in training.

Through the completion of an online, multiple choice exam.

Total Cost: £380
 
The total cost includes a copy of the 18th Edition BS 7671:2018 - Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations book. (This will be supplied to students prior to the start of the course)
