OVERVIEW

The Pre Access to Employment and Study in Science is an exciting route to higher education and a new career in a range of science disciplines.

You will cover maths and English to support your studies and then graded units in biology, chemistry and physics. There is also a focus on developing laboratory practical skills and analysis which is integral to any Higher Education science course.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You will be required to hold or be working towards a Level 1 qualification in English and numeracy and you will be required to take an initial assessment test to assess your current abilities.

You will be assessed by a range of methods including essays, reports and exam style questions.

You can progress on to a range of our Access to Higher Education Diplomas.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances. Many people qualify for free tuition fees, for more information please contact Course Information on 01642 333333.
