Music Practice – Level 3

September – June

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and/or five GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above.

You will be assessed through set assignments and performances with practical work and observation.

University opportunities

Past students have progressed to study degrees in music, music practice, music theatre, performing arts, audiovisual technology, sound and music technology and popular music.

Career opportunities

Career opportunities include performing, composing, community work, audio-video production, visual effects, animation, audio development, teaching, music technician, management, studio engineering, game audio, multimedia design and management.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

All full time students will be offered a number of options to secure at least 10 days of meaningful work experience during the year. This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job or progress to a higher level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at university.
