This course is for anyone aspiring to become a trainee hair stylist. It will cover practical and all aspects of theory, with an assignment or exam to cover each unit. You will practice hair services within our modern Francesco commercial hair salon.

This course may include 9.00am starts and a late night. You will develop skills in a realistic working environment with sector relevant work experience.

All students will be required to study 2 hours of English and maths and will be encouraged to study to GCSE grade 4 (C).

September - June

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Entry Level vocational qualification and/ or GCSEs at grade 2-1 (E-F) or above.

You will be assessed through assignments and written tests.

You can progress to a Level 2 in Hairdressing or an apprenticeship in hairdressing.

The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into further education.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
