This course takes you from the basics of selecting patterns and fabrics, adapting patterns to fit you perfectly, to cutting out and making your own garments.

You will learn a range of techniques, explore your ideas about fashion, and create at least one garment of your choice.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry qualifications for this course.

You will need to demonstrate an interest in fashion and dressmaking.

You will produce a body of dressmaking work (samples, garments & creative development work) on which you will be assessed.

You will be taught through practical demonstration, supported by lectures and workshops.

You can progress onto further study.

We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for university we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance.
