This course is designed for those wishing to take on a junior stylist role within a career in the hairdressing/barbering industry.

  • Health and Safety
  • Retail and Presentation Skills
  • Advise and Consult with Clients
  • Men's Cutting Techniques
  • Shampoo and Condition Hair and Scalp
  • Dry and Finish Men's Hair
  • Colour and Lighten Men's Hair
  • Cut Facial Hair to Shape using Basic Techniques

You will study 1 day per week and this possibly may include a night class.

Wednesday 2.30 - 7.30pm

 

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 1 vocational qualification and /or GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above.

If you have a grade 3 (D) or below in GCSE English and/or maths you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your study programme.

Online Exams, assignments and practical

Level 3 Barbering

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances. Many people qualify for free tuition fees, for more information please contact Course Information on 01642 333333.

Level 2 Entitlement: If you are aged 19 - 23 on the start date of the course and this is your first full Level 2 qualification, the course is free if you are studying for an entry or Level 1 qualification (except Basic Skills) where a step from Basic Skills is needed in order to progress to a first full Level 2 course or this is a first full Level 2 qualification.

You only need to apply once for A Level programmes. After receiving your application form you will be invited to attend an informal interview where you will have a chance to discuss which specific A Level subjects you would like to enrol on.
