The National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is the most widely held health and safety qualification of its kind in the UK with over 170,000 people having gained the qualification since it was launched in 1989.

15 Weeks - Tuesday or Thursday, 9:00am – 4:00pm, (Day)

30 Weeks - Tuesday or Thursday, 6:00pm-9:00pm, starting September  (Evening)

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course.

You will be assessed through written exams and a written report following an inspection of the workplace.

You can work as safety advisor or a safety manager in many workplaces.

You can also progress on to the NEBOSH Diploma if you wish to move into safety management as a career for a larger employer.


Please note, this course is a full cost course and therefore there is no fee remission available to any student.
