  • Producing Plate Work Components and Assemblies
  • Welding by MMA
  • MIG and TAG Process
  • Fabricating Steelwork Assemblies
  • Safe Working Practices and Communicating Technical Information
  • Hand Torque Bolted Connection Techniques
  • Hydraulically Tensioned Bolted Connections
  • Hydraulically Torque Connection Techniques

Entry requirements

Ideally you should have mechanical or piping experience.

You will be assessed through summative written knowledge tests and practical exercises.

You can progress onto other competence and compliance based engineering courses.

 Each student after attending an approved training course and attaining the training certificate requires a period of workplace experience to practise new skills and knowledge.

This period allows for the consolidation of skills and knowledge against work based tasks.

£500, full cost.

Please note, this course is a full cost course and therefore there is no fee remission available to any student.
