PART B – FINANCIAL DETAILS / EVIDENCE

Section 1 - Income

Do you have a taxable household income of less than £20,000?

In order to assess this application proof of income must be provided, please see below examples of evidence you can provide:











**this can be either a letter dated within 3 months stating you are in receipt of the benefit or alternatively you can provide a bank statement dated within 3 months showing your name and address along with 3 or more payments being paid into your account.

As well as proof of income you also need to provide electronic copies of the following evidence before your application can be assessed:

  • Your birth certificate or valid passport

  • Full birth certificate for all children that you are apply for funding

  • Copy of your course timetable

  • Ofsted Registration Certificate (childcare provider should send this - please see below for further information)

PART C – CHILDCARE FUNDING

If you are a student aged 20+ please provide the following information. Please be advised that childcare will only be paid for the days that you are timetabled at College or on mandatory placement (confirmation of placement days will need to be provided by your tutor).  Students who are aged 19 years old need to apply for Childcare funding through Care to Learn via the gov.uk website.

Your childcare provider will need to complete a form which you can ask Student Services to post to you by calling 01642 333606 or emailing studentfinance@mbro.ac.uk.

If you use more than one provider, you must ask for a copy of the form and send all Childcare Provider information forms back to student finance at the College.

All childcare providers MUST be OFSTED REGISTERED.

Declaration

I will inform Student Services if anything changes with my personal circumstances including household income. I understand that I may be asked to provide evidence of continued eligibility to fee remission. I agree to Middlesbrough College processing personal data, including “sensitive” personal data (ethnicity, disability, etc.) contained on this form or other data that the College may obtain from me or other people, whilst I am a student. I agree the processing of such data for any purposes connected with my studies or my health and safety whilst on the premises or for any other legitimate reason.
I understand that any fraudulent claims will be investigated.
I understand that once a written offer is received, any financial assistance is subject to satisfactory attendance, behaviour and performance, and if the conditions are not adhered to, funding may be withdrawn and I may be liable to repay any payments made or return any equipment the College has funded.

 If you do not have an email address you can hand a copy of your evidence into Student Services at the College (please do not post the application and evidence to us). You can submit the application at any time but payments will only commence once you have enrolled, we have checked and approved your eligibility and you are attending classes. 

Following receipt of your application, you will be informed of the outcome of your application by email or text in due course.
