Aimhigher is a national programme which aims to widen participation in Higher Education.
Middlesbrough College supports Aim Higher, because we want to see more young people from Middlesbrough particiupating in Higher Education.

Middlesbrough College have an Aimhigher programme that is often held up as an exemplar of good practice and are committed to raising aspirations of learners, having a positive impact on their attainment and achievement, motivating learners to achieve their potential and supporting and preparing learners towards the next level of study, training or employment.

Aimhigher at Middlesbrough College also supports a diverse group of Gifted and Talented learners (16-19) and we have a well established programme of support and activities available for more able learners backed up by excellent classroom delivery, tutorial support and a personalised learning and planning approach.

We also, have some limited funding to support our Talented learners who excel in the Sports, Arts and many other areas. We currently support World, European and National sporting champions as well as Creative Writers, Poets, Dancers, Musicians. Additionally there are many more diverse types of talents that are also recognised and celebrated.
