Zach Is Off To Manchester!
28 August 2012
Zach Sinclair, a former Acklam Grange pupil, got the news that he had been accepted by his first choice university, Manchester Metropolitan, a specialist Sports Science University, by text and then proceeded to wake everybody up in the house to tell them his news!
Zach said: “I got straight up and was jumping up and down, I’m really happy. Now I’ve come in and got my results I’m even more pleased. I’ve enjoyed every minute of my time here – the whole College is geared towards helping you to get the results you need and achieving your full potential. Now I can’t wait to start university.”
With a B in PE and Cs in Sociology and Biology, Zach will be studying Biology with a view to eventually going down a medical route.
The 19-year-old has always been interested in Biology and enjoyed the practical aspects of his lessons such as dissecting organs.
Zach said: “I found that really interesting and I’m certainly not squeamish so I might eventually study medicine but at the moment I’m keeping my options open. With these A Levels, after university, I could also be a teacher or do lots of other jobs within the industry so I don’t have to decide right away.”
And it’s set to a busy couple of weeks in the Sinclair household with Zach’s two younger sisters Charlotte and Bethany also receiving results.
Bethany is awaiting her GCSE grades, while Charlotte was also receiving her A Level results but Zach said there was no competition and he was proud of both his sisters.
