Middlesbrough College Does It Again!
28 August 2012

MC Principal Mike HopkinsMiddlesbrough College has achieved a 99% pass rate for GCSE subjects, with 100% pass rates for both English and Maths.

Most of the College’s 16-18 year old students take English and Maths as additional subject alongside their main vocational programmes to ensure they are able to progress either to university or into their chosen employment.

A small percentage of adults take GCSE’s, usually to further their career aims and achieve high grades.

Building on the current GCSE provision, this academic year Middlesbrough College is offering an additional three GCSE subjects in Science, Business Studies and Sociology.

Mike Hopkins, Principal (pictured right) said: “This is great news for the College and follows the 100% pass rate in A Levels last week and so it is a Middlesbrough College double gold for all of our students this year.

“The staff and students are highly delighted at both sets of results at a time when we are about to move into our new Sixth Form Centre (MC6)”.
