23 July 2012

MIddlesbrough College's Marketing TeamMiddlesbrough College weren't just the main sponsors of Middlesbrough Mela they turned out to be one of the main attractions too.

On a weekend full of sport, dance, music and multi culture, Middlesbrough College took full advantage of a very popular community event by taking up a prominent position in Centre Square with its branded course information trailer.

The Marketing Team (pictured right) dealt with hundreds of full and part time course information requests from the general public during the course of the weekend and many interested parties followed up that genuine interest by visiting the college on the Monday morning.

Middlesbrough College is always proud to sponsor and support local community events. The Middlesbrough Mela was an ideal opportunity for Middlesbrough College to promote its portfolio of courses to a community which can often be hard to reach.

Middlesbrough College donned its 30ft trailer with logos, display stands, flags Organisers of the Middlesbrough Mela with Andy Williams from Middlesbrough Collegeand large format posters. College staff made the most of the sunny yet breezy weather conditions by giving away thousands of MC branded mini hand held windmills which the children (and adults) loved!

Marketing Manager, Andy Williams (pictured on the right with the Mela's organisers), said: "I'd like to thank my team of energetic and enthusiastic staff for working the full weekend for the benefit of the community"

He went on to say "Quite often it's assumed that these summer events just run themselves and they don't. It takes a great deal of planning and preparation but more importantly it takes a team of dedicated staff to make any event work. My team were excellent and I am very proud of them."

Middlesbrough College will go onto sponsor Radio Ramadan throughout July and August and will sponsor one of the BME Award categories in November at The Thistle Hotel.

Middlesbrough College takes its marketing very seriously and realises only too well that much of Further Education marketing now has to be taken on the road and out to communities to events such as the Mela.

To this end Middlesbrough College have invested a substantial amount of money to bring you its very own marketing trailer. Look out for the MC Trailer Van - coming soon to a town or village near you!
