Middlesbrough College staff actively took part in “Movember”, a fun, moustache growing event to raise much needed funds for prostate and testicular cancer charity Everyman ( http://everyman-campaign.org/).

Many male members of staff volunteered to grow moustaches, some staff had never grown a moustache before in their lives!

£392.46 was raised through sponsored moustache growing, the selling of raffle tickets and false moustaches.

An overall College Trophy was presented by Student Sabbatical Officer, Danielle Ripley to Tim Nobbs for the best “real” moustache grown throughout November. The voting panel consisted of students from across all curriculum areas.

With over 50 staff taking part from all directorates this charity fund raiser event was most definitely a resounding success!
