College gains the North East Better Health at Work Silver Award

Middlesbrough College has been successful in gaining the North East Better Health at Work Silver Award – this accolade is awarded to organisations who have evidenced significant achievements in building the foundations for a healthy workplace. South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the award organiser, highlighted that the health advocates across the whole region have been instrumental in making the Better Health at Work Award so successful this year across by inspiring colleagues to take part in a huge range of activities.
The College will be celebrating its Silver Award at a high profile event on the evening of 9 February 2012.
Mike Hopkins, Principal / Chief Executive was delighted to receive the award on behalf of the staff and thanked the Human Resources Department, and in particular Alison Stephenson, Personnel Manager for co-ordinating the award submission and welcomed the opportunity to progress to the Gold Level later in 2012.
