Stunning creations by the fashion students at Middlesbrough College were modelled on the 8ft long catwalk, produced by the joinery department.

Meanwhile, art, design and textiles students displayed their work in an exhibition based around the themes of A Day at the Races, retro and glamour.

The exhibition was a cross-challenge collaboration which benefited from the input of students in construction, fashion retail, hair and beauty, linenry and dressmaking and media.

Claire Tripconey, tutor and team leader of arts, design and textiles, hailed the event “a great success”.

“I have they have had two years of really hard work and this was a nice celebration of what they have achieved,” she added.
