Theatre 'Perfect Venue' For Enviroment Awards Ceremony
Monday, October 12, 2009

The Hazel Pearson Theatre at Middlesbrough College provided the ‘perfect venue’ for the Community Environment awards according to event organizers Middlesbrough Environment City.

“We have a long association with Middlesbrough college and they have supported a number of our conferences and other events, both at their former sites and more recently at Middlehaven. However this was the first time the event has been held at the College, and it has been just perfect”, said Mark Fishpool, MEC Director.

After a reception at which guests enjoyed a buffet prepared by the College, the audience of friends, relatives, and supporters took their seats in the 156 seat theatre. Judges for each of the categories provided background to each of the entrants, to a background of images of each project, then announced the winners, who took to the stage to collect their awards from the award sponsors.
