New Course - CIEH Level 2 Award in Cleaning in Food Premises

This new qualification is designed to provide candidates with the essential knowledge about cleaning in food premises. From the importance of cleaning, to the preparation, methods and impacts, the syllabus covers the whole process of the cleaning activity and its effect within food premises.

Designed for anyone whose job it is to clean food premises, especially relevant for contract cleaners, this qualification is likely to become a sign of quality for facilities managers and health and safety supervisors when outsourcing their cleaning force.

It is appropriate for any organisation where food is prepared (including schools, colleges, universities and prisons) and is particularly significant for sectors where food preparation is a key activity, such as hospitality, food manufacturing and food retail.

1 day course delivered either at employers premises or at Middlesbrough College from £40.00 per person.

The Employer Services Team
The College’s most tangible link with the business community is its Employer Services department.

The Employer Services department has been developed specifically to bring the College to the business community and can design and deliver flexible training.

The department provides a central point of contact for all employer training enquiries.

Through Employer Services the College can provide a wealth of experience in developing and delivering employer led qualifications for a range of industry sectors. These can be NVQs, Distance Learning qualifications and bespoke employer led programmes.

The Aim of the Charter

The Charter sets out our commitment to all organisations accessing training with Middlesbrough College and is intended to clearly indicate the standards and levels of service you can expect from us and our expectations of you as an employer and your employees.

What You Can Expect From Us

To identify and meet the training needs of employers by undertaking training needs analysis and making the best use of labour market information.
To provide appropriate and relevant training and services of the highest quality.
To design and deliver bespoke and flexible training programmes to meet employer needs.
Refer employers to alternative providers if we are unable to meet their requirements.
Excellent facilities within the College are available for both employers and their employees.

Pre-Course we will

Provide clear information on our products and services.
Respond to all enquiries within three working days.
Arrange for an Organisational Needs Analysis to be carried out within two weeks, where one is requested.
If we are unable to meet your requirements, an appropriate alternative will be offered.
Agree a level of service with you and provide clear information relating to our courses, training programmes and qualifications including dates, times, fees, content and delivery methods.

On course we will provide

A welcoming learning environment in which individuals are respected, irrespective of age, race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, nationality or religion.
Well qualified and competent staff to deliver high quality learning.
A well managed and co-ordinated course that meets the expected outcomes.
Regular reports on progress to the employee and the employer.
Support and feedback on achievement to the employee and the employer.

Post Course we will

Evaluate, monitor and measure the impact of the training on your business.
Keep you informed of future products and services on offer.

We ask employers to

Provide us with sufficient information to assist us in making the most appropriate solution to meet your training needs.
Keep us informed of any change of circumstances of any employee who is on a training programme with us, or if your training requirements change.
Let us know quickly if we have not provided the standard of service expected or if you have concerns about any aspect of the programme.

We ask employees to

Make a positive commitment to the programme and their individual learning goals.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact the Assistant Principal for Employer Responsiveness on 01642 333260 as quickly as possible so we can address the issues.
If you remain dissatisfied with any aspects of our service and are still unhappy with the outcome you can make a formal complaint through the College Complaints Procedure.
