Learning Resource Centre (LRC)

The Learning Resources Centre at Middlesbrough College is at the heart of the learning culture of the College.


The Learning and Resources Centre has over 30,000 books and nearly 200 computers available for use by students and staff.

A team of qualified and experienced staff are ready to assist LRC users to access resources and make the most of the facilities available.

Computers are available for group or individual use and there are Enquiry desks where you can ask for help. Printers, scanners and photocopiers are available on both floors. WiFi is available if you prefer to bring in your own device.

The First Floor includes the LRC Entrances and Reception desks, the Multi-media room with specialist software, DVDs, CDs and Videos. Careers, Skills for Life and ESOL resources, tables for group work and individual study space. Displays for new resources, daily newspapers and journals.

The Second Floor houses the majority of the LRC book stock, there are tables for group work and an Enquiry Desk. CAD and Sage software are available on this floor, please ask staff for more details.

To take advantage of the facilities and resources available in the Learning Resources Centre, you need to register as a user. Simply bring your College ID card to enter the Centre or obtain a Visitor's Card from College Reception.
