Do you want to gain a nationally recognised qualification and experience of a real job?
If the answer is YES!!! then choose an apprenticeship with the help of Middlesbrough College.
Apprenticeships is a national programme for young people who want to gain a recognised qualification and train in their chosen field at the same time.
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn practical on-the-job skills without missing out on College life, as all students are employed by a local company and attend College on a day release – the best of both worlds!
Middlesbrough College supports apprenticeships at two levels – Level 2 and Level 3, and the apprenticeship that is right for you will depend on your GCSE results

How do I apply for an Apprenticeship?
If you want to study at Middlesbrough College as part of an Apprenticeship programme, you need to have a firm offer from an employer willing to take you on as an apprentice. To find an appropriate employer you can either contact a local employer direct and ask if they would be willing to offer you an Apprenticeship or you can apply for vacancies at:
http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/
When applying to the College to complete the day release element of your apprenticeship you will be interviewed before being offered a place and may also have to complete a “skills” test. To be eligible to take part on an Apprenticeship programme you need to be aged 16 or over.
