Apprenticeships
Do you want to gain a nationally recognised qualification and experience of a real job?

If the answer is YES!!! Then choose an apprenticeship with the help of Middlesbrough College.

Apprenticeships is a national programme for young people who want to gain a recognised qualification and train in their chosen field at the same time.

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn practical on-the-job skills without missing out on College life, as all students are employed by a local company and attend College on a day release – the best of both worlds!

Middlesbrough College supports apprenticeships at two levels – Level 2 and Level 3, and the apprenticeship that is right for you will depend on your GCSE results.

How do I apply for an Apprenticeship?

Applying to do an Apprenticeship is like applying for a job, you will have to apply and have an interview being offered a place. To find a vacancy you can either contact a local employer or ask if they would be willing to offer you an Apprenticeship or secondly you can apply through a training provider (colleges, training centres) and ask of they offer this scheme. Many of these will either arrange a place for you or help you find one.

To be eligible to take part in this scheme you need to be aged 16-24.

If you want to study at Middlesbrough College as part of an Apprenticeship programme, you need to have a firm offer from an employer willing to take you on as an apprentice before you apply to the College..
