On behalf of the Middlesbrough College Governing Body, can I welcome you to the Governors’ Website.
The Governing Body is very proud of the £70 million facilities at our awarding winning Middlehaven Campus, which opened in 2008.
Further investment of £6.8 million took place in 2012 with the building of our new Sixth Form Centre (MC6) and state of the art Astro Turf Pitch, the latter of which is supporting the development of our Sporting Academies (MC SPORT). The latest news from the College (March 2013) is that the Governing Body and the College Leadership Team are looking to invest upto £20 million over the next 3 years to support the College’s ambitious plans – this investment is necessary to accommodate the planned increase in student recruitment at our Middlehaven Campus as well as developing an extension for to our Sixth Form Centre (MC6) in time for September 2014 and the development of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) Centre for September 2015.

The Governing Body continues to improve the environment for its staff, students and visitors and invests £1.5 million every year in these facilities as an on-going commitment to all of its stakeholders and this is on top of any additional investment as identified above. This investment ensures that students, staff and stakeholders from Teesside and beyond get a first class education in one of the best facilities in the North East.
